fall-breakfast-cinnamon-roll

There are a lot of things to love about fall. The leaves are changing colors, the crackling of the fireplace, the apple-cinnamon, and pumpkin spice. But let’s face it—as the weather gets colder, it gets harder and harder to bring our toes out from under the covers to meet the brisk morning that lies ahead.

What if we told you there was a way to bring the cozy comfort of your bed into the first few hours of a chilly fall morning? We know—it sounds crazy, but there’s a reason we turn to certain smells, scents, and colors when the seasons change. Our bodies are preparing for the inevitable chill that is to come, and hey, what better way to warm up than with the most important meal of the day: breakfast?

Kate’s Kitchen’s Fall Breakfast Favorites

Here are a few of the foods whose smells waft from our kitchen and never fail to drag us out of bed when fall mornings get tough.

Apple, Cinnamon, and Roasted Pecan Pancakes

Apple, cinnamon and pecan: the sweetest flavors of fall. You simply can’t go wrong with these three. Dripping in decadence and warmth, pancakes are always a go-to on chilly fall mornings. The best part about ours? They’re made from scratch, by someone other than you.

Warm Peanut Butter and Banana Waffles

Waffles are a lot like pancakes in the fall. You can put any topping on them, and you’re going to end up feeling all warm and fuzzy inside. Drizzled with syrup, butter, and powdered sugar—how can you go wrong with out warm peanut butter and banana waffles?

Caramel Nut French Toast

All the ooey-gooey goodness. French toast topped with warm caramel sauce, fresh banana slices and pecans. Hot, fresh fruit and flavorful pastries are what fall is all about.

Cinnamon Rolls

Okay, but seriously? Who doesn’t love a good cinnamon roll? Sure, they’re not an everyday choice for a balanced breakfast, but if you’re going to have one, it might as well be on a chilly fall morning. Cinnamon-swirled goodness topped with warm icing—this fun fall treat is sure to warm you up from the inside out. The best part? You can have it with your meal or take it on-the-go.

Cinnamon Roll French Toast

So we’ve established that cinnamon rolls and french toast are both pretty awesome. Why not combine them and get the best of both worlds? Two pieces of cinnamon roll french toast will satisfy your sweet tooth and your need for comfort. Throw in a side of meat and two eggs for some protein and much-needed energy. We couldn’t think of a better way to start your day.

All-American Biscuits and Gravy
