Our Favorite Breakfast Drinks: Ranked

What do you like to slurp on in the morning? A cup of Joe? Green tea? Dates, milk, spinach, and berries whizzed up in a blender?

When it comes to breakfast beverages, we all have our favorites. Does your drink rank near the top of our list? Check for yourself and take a look at how we ranked our favorite breakfast drinks.

#1: Coffee With Cream And Sugar

First place goes to a classic breakfast fave. This one is for people who love to start the day with something warm, energizing, and decadent. Does that sound like you?

#2: Berry Smoothie With Greens

berry-smoothiesBerries are healthy. Greens are healthy. So somebody had the ingenious idea of combining the two in a smoothie. Just add dates, milk, and a lump of almond butter to create something that tastes great and packs an extraordinary nutritional punch.

Smoothies are power food. They are the go-to beverage for anyone who lifts weights, works ten hours a day and still wants energy to look after the family when they get home.

#3: Latte

The humble latte: a single shot of espresso topped up with milk. You can have it with cinnamon, mixed with cocoa, or pumped full of syrup flavors. But, remember, whatever your preferences, it’s the caffeine content that counts.

#4: Orange Juice (Freshly Squeezed)

Orange juice for breakfast: it’s a classic.

But that fact shouldn’t come as a surprise. It’s one of the most delicious fruit juices around and contains a mountain of vitamin C to boot.

On top of that, it goes with practically anything: pancakes, oatmeal, sausage, and bacon muffin - you name it! It’s the Swiss army knife of breakfast drinks and we LOVE it!

#5: Tea

On occasion, one prefers to dine at breakfast as the Queen of England does, with one’s “little finger” (pinky) delicately elevated as one takes tiny sips of tea.  We ranked coffee at number one, but some people prefer to drink a cup of green or black tea to get going in the morning and for that reason, we ranked tea at number 4 on our list!

#6: Cranberry Juice

Cranberry juice offers the best of both worlds. Not only do you get that tart, refreshing taste, but you also get something sweet, juicy, and seriously tasty.

Cranberry is excellent for people who are on a health kick. What’s more, you can boost the nutritional value by cutting down the sugar and juicing fresh cranberries yourself - be forewarned, fresh cranberry juice not for the faint-hearted.

#7: Water With Lemon

Regular old tap water isn’t particularly fun or exciting. But fill your glass with some ice and add a few slices of lemon, and suddenly, you have something that tastes fresh, vibrant, and utterly transformative.

Adding lemon to water is a great way to make regular water more palatable. And it’s healthy too. We ranked this one last on our list because it is more exciting than just regular water, it isn't as tasty as the heavy hitters that are higher on the list.

#8: Black Coffee

You could probably have guessed this one. Coming in last is a favorite among its fans. Caffeine-filled, roasted bean drink: black coffee. What would we do without it?

There’s nothing like taking a big ol' sip of black coffee first thing in the morning. It’s not about taste; it’s about being able to open your eyes and say hello to the world! Why is this last on our list? Because it probably is the least tasty out of all of the other drinks.

This list isn't the end all be all of the best breakfast drinks, whatever you like to order at brunch and whatever gets you going in the morning is all that really matters.
